The affected categories for that group included Social Security numbers, financial account information, credit or debit card numbers, and driver's license information. Hasbro said it took containment and remediation steps after the incident, BleepingComputer reports. Those measures included disabling a compromised employee account, ending unauthorized access, and deploying additional safeguards intended to reduce the risk of a repeat incident. BleepingComputer said a Hasbro spokesperson was not immediately available to answer whether customers were affected or whether the attackers made a ransom demand. The report also notes that Hasbro had disclosed a separate cyberattack earlier this year. That incident hit systems on March 28, forced some systems offline, and led Hasbro to warn investors in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it expected some delays while business-continuity measures were in place. According to BleepingComputer, Hasbro's later financial reports put revenue lost from that March cyberattack at approximately $25 million.
