Alleged Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra renders and drawings circulated over the weekend, according to Tom’s Guide, pointing to a possible redesign for Samsung’s next flagship phone. The outlet says the images came from two prominent Samsung leakers and appear to show a horizontal rear camera bar that resembles design language associated with Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro or Google’s Pixel 11 Pro. The first claims came from leaker Ice Universe, who posted a drawing with a cryptic message, Tom’s Guide reports. Follow-up sketches appeared to show the back of the phone, including a circular element that the outlet says is probably a Qi2 magnet for wireless charging. The more material change is the camera layout. Based on Ice Universe’s sketches, Tom’s Guide says the alleged Galaxy S27 Ultra appears to move away from the current triple-stack look to a two-element stack, with the LED light and lenses placed in a smaller pill-shaped section. The same leaker also said a new 5x telephoto lens would move into that LED pill and replace the current 3x version, according to the report. A separate set of renders from tipster Sonny Dickson added another wrinkle. Tom’s Guide says Dickson claimed Samsung will offer the Ultra in two sizes, while rumors suggest one of those models may be the S27 Pro. The outlet notes that such a lineup would make Samsung’s structure look more like Apple’s Pro and Pro Max split, but that remains based on reported leaks rather than an official product plan. The rumored design changes may not apply across the whole family. Tom’s Guide says the drawings and renders seen so far suggest the iPhone-like camera plateau would be limited to the Ultra and Pro models, while the base Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus would retain a stacked camera arrangement. Speaker placement is also part of the leak cycle. Ice Universe reportedly claimed that the speaker on the bottom of the Galaxy S27, S27 Plus and S27 Pro will move to the right side, while the S27 Ultra will have its speaker on the left side. Samsung has not announced the Galaxy S27 line. Tom’s Guide says it will treat the leaks cautiously until dummy units appear, which it expects could happen in the fall. The outlet expects Samsung to release the S27 lineup in the early part of next year, after the S26 series launched in February this year. Who benefits: Phone leakers and accessory watchers benefit first, because early shape and magnet-position claims can shape expectations before official launch materials arrive. Samsung would benefit only if the redesign lands well with buyers, which is not yet knowable from these leaks.
